Passac in the department of Vienne is the village where we have our farmhouse.
The village of Passac is in the commune of Champniers and consists of a cluster of 20 houses in the heart of rural France.

Each year we have a Festival of Scarecrows that is inspired by the small agricultural
museum in the next village of Chez Bernadeau, The scarecrow trail is open during the
months of May, June, July and August and culminates with the Fete de Blé (Festival of
the wheat harvest) on the Sunday after the 15th August. This year it will be on the 17th August.

|
The residents of the two villages make and display scarecrows during these months
and in July there is a theatrical presentation performed by members of the local
community.

The Museum at Chez Bernadeau houses a collection of ancient farm machinery that includes many tractors and Harvesters. There is also a collection of artefacts and photographs of life in the area plus a reproduction of a home as it was about 100 years ago.
